Let's talk about sports... Running is one of my favorites sports, and today I did my first real climb workout ! I ran 5x500m in a climb which is about 10% of altitude difference.
It's a beautiful road in the middle of a wood with not much car activity.

SENSATIONS :
It was really really hard but I must to say that I loved it a LOT !!!
That's really different from my others quality trainings. I use to do one quality workout per week and generally it's a speed session (interval training 30"30" or treshold 2x2000m). But this time the feelings were totally different since I was really far from my usual speed. Climbing up a hill is more intense I feel. It's not about power but strenght, I felt my heart beating like a jackhammer and I felt as well my calves and thighs burning all along.
Each time I came on the top of the hill I felt like a smell of victory. Going through the pain is really gratifiante.
EFFECTS :
This kind of training allows us to gain strenght, it raises our aerobic and anaerobic capacity and it helps to push acid lactic effects back. And finally it's great to put a bit of fun in our workout routine.
GRAPH :
This graph comes from my nike+ipod and represent my workout : distance and pace (or speed)

I know that's ridiculous but I'm not able to analyse this curve today... I can't understand what represent the little peaks and the big ones... When I'll recover my whole brain, I'll do a report !
